Although their paths diverged, they once again found commonality – a newfound love of wine, Mark’s stemming from a job at a local liquor store and James’ from his military time stationed in California’s wine country.
Together, they founded Blanchard Family Wines, following a simple, traditional winemaking philosophy: “let the vineyard, varietal, and vintage shine through gentle intervention.” After settling in the Denver, Colorado area, James recognized the Mile High City’s need for more wine experiences. So, the pair made the decision to grow their family winery business and opened their first wine bar in Denver’s bustling Dairy Block neighborhood.
